Overview: 

Operations managers, superintendents and supervisors manage the day-to-day performance of a diverse range of operations that include plants, pits and quarries throughout the Canada Region.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide effective leadership to their employees; manage and actively develop employees through education, training, mentoring and succession planning
  • Ensure safe and timely production within quality specifications and production costs
  • Analyze finance and production reports, and implement recommended improvements
  • Ability to respond, adapt to and manage rapidly changing situations
Education/Experience: 
  • Post-secondary or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Extensive knowledge in customer management, product market conditions
  • Strong competency in financial, performance and change management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
